Goal: Rebranding website to offer more organized and professional look to site.

Venom House Studios offers a website that displays local music. The producers and artist use site to advertise their art to the masses. Their goal is to use site as launching pad for music and merchandise.

Comparison sites:
After viewing Venom’s current site I researched how a few other studio sites.

Once research was completed, I took time to map out design ideas for landing page. Sharing with client, I was able to get a better grasp on what they where looking for. This client was very open. Speaking with them I was able to start wire-framing with Figma.

Brainstorm Designing – Low Fidelity

With ideas in place, next step was to log into their existing website builder site and make desired adjustments. This client already utilizes the CMS called “Namecheap.com”.

Using Figma I also created options for landing page. Doing this allowed me to give client options on direction for his website.

The original site was a little cluttered and unorganized. My job was to help with its functionality and accessibility. Keeping the dark background meant I had to make sure the font would be readable to the masses. To ensure little trouble with site loading I also limited the amount of animation. Once the site was updated, I tested its usability on a few different devices. Sending the link to other people, I also asked them to supply feedback on its functionality.

Conclusion:
Working on this website for a family member was a learning experience. Doing this allowed me practice in communicating with client and having the ability to understand their vision. They were over joyed with results and soon requested I help with other business.
